In 1918 the Spanish flu spread to Eskimos in the Arctic Circle, the nomads of Siberia, and the natives of remote Amazon jungles ... and this was during a time when passenger airlines was non-existent, overseas travels could only be afforded by the top 0.001% or colonial troops, and the average human in 1st world city of New York or London could barely afford a 3rd class ticket on a slow passenger ship ... let alone humans from 3rd world areas.
So yeah, you can bet your fucking ass that wuhan virus will spread to all corners of the globe.

And no, civilisation will not come to an end. 1 year from today, life will still go on as usual.
In fact S'pore will probably end up benefiting 10,000% from this wuhan virus as all the international rich & elites now know about us as highlighted by WHO. Becoz of the very good job done by SG govt (as compared to most other countries), more of these billionaires will move their money, their assets, their families, & themselves here.
People like Jim Rogers & Eduardo Saverin must be laughing now. And where do you think Jacky Chan or Jet Li have been hiding out these few months?? HK or Shanghai?!?!? Haha.
Before this wuhan virus, majority of billionaires & their families don't even know what is Singapore. Even those with Ivy League degrees & MBAs thought that S'pore is in the middle of China, or next to Shanghai or Shenzhen or HK. And they are shocked to see photos of Singapore with street signs & signages in english --- what?!?! these china-looking people know english?!?!?!? LOL!!!
So get ready for much more (rich) foreigners entering Singapore. Luxury properties & services catering to billionaires will do very well over the next 5-10 years, e.g. private banking, family office wealth management, private equity etc.
Mass market condos ... not so much.
PS: The wife of Hai Di Lao biz just setup a family office in Singapore to manage her personal S$10.7B fortune. No news about managing husband's wealth which is another S$10.7B
